What is ANU MOOCs?

ANU MOOCsis a Massive Open Online Course aimed at Skill and Entrepreneurial Development to enable the future generations to become self-reliant and create wealth. Courses are also designed to meet contemporary requirement to bridge the Knowledge Gap in every conceivable area of study.

Who can enrol?

Every one and any one irrespective of the Academic Qualifications, Age, Gender, Nationality, Religion, Caste, Community can enrol and study the courses of individual choices and interest.

How many Courses any learner can study in ANU MOOCs?

There is no restriction. A learner can register for any number of courses with due consideration of individual learning competence and the time.

Is Registration compulsory to study ANU MOOCs?

YES, only the Registered Learners will have access to study the MOOCs offered by ANU.

With One time registration, can a learner study more than One Course?

No. Registration is course specific. If a student wants to study more than one course, he/she can self-enrol himself / herself into as many courses in the learning portal that he/she wants to learn

Is there any Documentation required?

The aspirant learner needs to fill up the Registration Form available online on the website of ANU MOOCs : www.moocs.anuonline.ac.in Relevant information called for needs to be filled in. Only the identification of the individual along with the Address of Residence needs to be established.

(1) A scanned copy of Passport size photograph needs to be uploaded

(2) A scanned copy of Government issued photo identity with Address Proof like any of the following :

For citizens of other countries than India:

• Front page of the Passport issued by country of nativity OR Any other Government issued Photo identity Card with Address

For Indian Citizens:

• Aadhar Card OR Voter Card OR Front Page of Passport

What is the Course Fee?

ANU offers MOOCs for a nominal fee of Rs 1000/-. The fee for current ANU students is Rs 250 only

What is the Course Structure?

Structuring will be unique to the nature and scope of the Course. Majority of the Courses are designed with the following structure:-

  • Brief Introduction about the course
  • Learning outcomes of the Course
  • Course Syllabus structured as 10 Units (Some of the Courses will be of 5 Units only)
  • Each Unit shall have minimum of 1 and maximum of 5 Lessons.
  • Each Lesson will include
    • Textual Content in PDF format and
    • Supportive Video Lesson / Power Point Presentation / Both.

What is the process of Learning?

Registered Learner will be provided with a unique id and password to gain access to the Course chosen on the LMS (Learning Management System) of ANU MOOCs. The learner has to log in to the LMS and study Online any time, any where in an internet connected Computer, Tablet or even a mobile.

Is there a provision for self-evaluation on Learning Progress?

YES. Each Unit shall have a Practice Test with 10 to 20 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and a Learner can attempt the Practice Tests Three times Free to estimate the learning progress.

Is there any Certificate Offered?

YES. Acharya Nagarjuna University evaluates the learner’s Competence and the successful Learners will be awarded with Proficiency Certificates authenticated by the Competent Authorities of University.

ANU conducts a Certification Test ‘Online’ for the students who desire to be awarded with a Certificate of Proficiency by paying a Certification Fee.

How is the Certification Test conducted?

Certification Test is conducted Online, for a duration of 2 hours with a randomised MCQs drawn from all the Units of the Course for a minimum of 50 to a maximum of 100 MCQs in the final test.

What is the Fee for obtaining Certificate?

A nominal Certification Fee of Rs.1000/- is required to be paid by Indian Students and $40/- (Rupees Five Hundred and Twenty US Dollars) by the International Students to cover a part of the expenditure of ANU on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in providing the Learning Content, Online Demo Testing, Final Testing and Evaluation.
